Salbutamol & insomnia

DD was waking lots due to a cough last week. Salbutamol has now cured the cough, but dd now seems to be wide awake and ready to play between 12 and 4am. Is a side effect of salbutamol insomnia?

yes - i'm afraid it's a fairly common side effect. is his cough better? i presume it was just a short term treatment. if so could you try without before bed. it's a short acting drug so would prob avoid from early evening onwards. hope he's better.

Thought as much. It was quite uncharacteristic of her to be that awake at that time. Have not given a third dose tonight before bed, so will see how it is tonight. Thanks!
