Bedding options

Hi

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. My mum got me a swinging crib years ago, and she's since passed away so I definitely want to use it. The problem is, I'm struggling to find bedding to fit it. Moses basket bidding is too small and cot being is too big.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do or where I can go for bedding that will fit a crib?

Thanks

Can you cut down a single bed sheet?

Put crib bedding into Google. Fairly standard products.

Yes crib bedding should fit mothercare have lots

Yeah I've found a few, but it was more fitted sheets that I need rather than whole bedding sets. Would mother care do these? Might have to have a gander?

What do you mean by a bedding set? You shouldn't use a duvet until 12 months or more. We used a grobag with a blanket on top in winter when mine were in a crib.

Is this for an actual baby or one of those reborn doll things?

  • Cot bumpers are unsafe due to strangulation risks
  • Duvets are unsafe and a SIDS risk
  • Blankets and sheets get kicked off. Most parents quickly learn a swaddle then a sleeping bag is the way forward.

So what do you mean by a bedding set? You can get coordinated blankets, sheets and bottom sheets for a crib if you so wish. They are standard products avaliable everywhere.

You'll really only need

  • a half dozen bottom sheets (they get sucked on a lot, so often need changing)
  • a couple of sleeping bags (one for use, one for wash)
  • a big cot sheet as a swaddle.

Like the cot bedding sets and things that you can buy. Know you shouldn't use a duvet. I'm planning to use blankets or a sleeping bag but it's the fitted sheets I need. Found some now though
