So...I've had my baby for like 1.5yrs now. She's very awesome and super funny. She has suddenly decided sleep isn't her thing and wakes up screaming for hours... this started tonight at half ten and is still on going. I finally thought she had gone to sleep when she screamed... I run in and she shouts "no toast!" I'm not trying to give her toast... no one is trying to give her toast... why would she even think that it's 12.45 ffs. I can still hear her muttering. Mostly she won't be left... but she's not clingy In the day. Help me oh wise mumsnetters... I lost my mind when she didn't sleep for almost nine weeks before... please help me prevent this.

If its a sudden change I'd say she's probably in pain - teething or poorly.

Lots of sympathy, compassion, Calpol and relaxing of the rules (ie letting her snuggle in bed with me, when she doesn't normally) is what gets us through this sort of poorliness.

Thank you... it is sudden. Lots of snuggles and she finally slept on and off.
