Please can I have recommendations for a white noise machiene x

Hi,

My little ones sleep much better with white noise but I only have an app so run it via my phone. I would rather get a machiene. Please can anyone recommend one please. Thank you x

I used to put dd next to the washing machine, didn't know there was a machine for noise, we had very clean clothes

I have a Ewan the Dream Sheep. Has a few options - heartbeat, white noise that is just a sort of constant buzz, Hoover noise or music. Only stays on for 20mins with each button press though.

A desk fan.

The air movement is relaxing as well as the noise. In winter just turn it away from the cot.

MyHummy are good and look nice! Or at first we used a £2 app on our phones called Baby Sleep Instant. Both worked a treat.

I just use an app on my iPhone called 'relax melodies' it's brilliant. I leave phone plugged in and play it all night

We downloaded an hour long soundtrack on iTunes and have it on repeat on an old iPad, which works just great. The track is called 'Baby Got Colic', there's a free ten min sample on YouTube. Warning though, it is hardcore white noise for hardcore babies! We discovered it helped send him to sleep when we played it to him in a desperate attempt to stop him screaming as a newborn.

I think "Relax melodies" is by far the best app but we also have a "Naturecare Sounds Machine" which was issued by the local NHS Audiology dept. to help my husband with his tinnitus (we bought another from Amazon) which is currently in my son's room. It's battery operated but you can buy a mains plug separately.

We used an app loads. Also Ewan the sheep but the 20min only is a problem, wish it had an option for longer.

There is always the old school solution, find an old analogue radio and tune it between stations (easier on AM than FM).

We do the same as sand, downloaded a white noise collection and use an an old iPod mini on a cheap speaker unit (think called iFlute). DD prefers the fan noise, proabkyl beciase we use a Dan in the summer, so we just have that on repeat.
