Moving a toddler from a cot to a bed - any advice?

I should know really as I've already done it with dd but she was so easy, just went into her bed, loved it, never gets out and that was it. I am absolutely positive ds (2yrs) will NOT be like that! The reason we want to move him is that in the summer we are going away and staying at a place with twin beds and also I want to make more space in his room for him to play. Any suggestions gladly received. Thanks

OI! Now I know it's not very exciting but please...would it help if I said I'll be wearing bondage get-up whilst re-arranging the room?!

you could let him go and choose his new "big boy" bedding - we did this with dd and she was fine about it.

Thanks squonk - gawd bless you, you're everywhere! He's a bit little to understand the bedding stuff I think (he's only just 2), it's more of the not getting out of bed bit that I'm worried about.
