Hi all,

Am new to MN and motherhood! Looking for some advice please!

My 7 week old was sleeping from 9:30 ish to 3:30 ish - which is amazing I know. But now she's waking at 12:30 ish and I'm not sure if I've done something to change or if it's usual and any advice to go back?!
She waking again at 4/5 ish and doesn't seem extremely hungry. If she was starving I'd think growth spurt?

Thanks

Probably not what you want to hear but of my NHS and NCT ante-natal groups no-one has had a baby doing more than 4-5 hours in a stretch before about 9-10 weeks. I suspect you had good luck before! Grin DS is 8 weeks and is usually doing 3-4 hours initially, then 2, then maybe 1 more or maybe up for the day. He's twice done a 5 hour stretch initially. A few folks now have 10 week olds doing 7 hours.
If you figure out how to extend it again, please let me know!

Sleep development isn't linear. It is not the case that as time goes on, baby's sleep will improve.

There are very many physical, emotional and intellectual changes that affect how sleep develops.
