Would you introduce a dummy

at 8-9 months? In a desperate attempt to get a breast fed child to sleep more?

She wakes multiple times through the night.

However, until about 5 months she resolutely refused all dummies. I gave up trying then.

Are babies more likely to take them when they're a little older? Is it likely to help with sleep?

It's worth a try! DD has had a dummy from when she was about a week old and for ages it was an absolute saviour. The only hitch is that she now needs help to find it and put it back in when she wakes up... she's almost 7 months. She can do it eventually but by the time she's worked out what to do she's fully awake and then needs re-settling.

Good luck x

The likelyhoid of getting her to take to a dummy at 8-9 months is pretty slim. I think you've probably missed the boat.
