Hi everyone. Just wondered if it's the norm for a nearly 5 year old waking at 530am Confused Anyone else in the same boat? Think I just want reassurance that there are other parents out there up at this time! Grin

I have a 3year old who wakes any time between half 4 - 5:15 so I feel your pain.

It's normal. What puzzled me was how he Knew to adjust his internal body clock for British summer time.

Yes and most recently during the night AGAIN.
Early wakes are solved by leaving the I pad and snacks by the bed.

My 13 year old has never grown out of it sorry to say. Up 4.30-5.30 am throughout summer holidays.

Yup, 7 year old here wakes up at half 5. Usually reads until half 6/7 or agreed get up time.

Thanks everyone. Lie ins are a distant memory! I'm now caffeine reliant! Grin BrewBrewBrewBrewBrewX

Unfortunately so, DS usually wakes about 545 am. He turns 6 this week and his sleep has gone to pot with the excitement - two 430am starts and awake last night for a bit at 1230 am!

Oh God my younger son is 17 months and up between 4.30-5.30 every morning. Older one 7.30. I assumed this would just stop soon! Do I possibly have 3, 4, 5...more years of this?! :-)

7yrs old, and up about 5.10....
Thankfully we live in a place where everything starts early. So DH starts work at 7 am, and that's when we leave for school too.

The summertime adjustment: they base it on the day. So since breakfast, lunch, swimming lesson, dinner all shift, so does waking up Sad
