Almost 2 year old sleeps for everyone other than me...

.. sort of. Basically if I try to put her to bed, it takes hours. Everyone else can (so long as I'm not in the house), take her up for a bath, put her in bed and have her asleep within 20 minutes. Last night it took me from bath at 7.30 (same time as everyone else), until 9.15 before the crying and 'muuummmmmmyyyyy' nonsense stopped and she went to sleep.

What's that about then? It's tedious.

does everyone else shut the door and leave her to regulate alone/ sleep train whereas you go in if she calls you? my DD will take at least an hour if she thinks I'm going anywhere near her bedroom to see her; I have to sit downstairs without movement till I think she's gone!

No, we do the same stuff. I used to be able to put her down awake and walk out, in fact for awhile I was the only one who could do that. Now it's the opposite. We do exactly the same 'things', as agreed when we started doing sleep 'training'. We haven't done CIO or CC, but have used gradual retreat pretty successfully until now - we've had to go back and do bits over again after illness or holidays, but now it just doesn't work for me at all.

It's the same here. I used to put him to bed easily but recently it's 'mummy, mummy, mummy'. Tonight I pretended I was going to work so DH took him up to bed (naughty I know) and he went without a peep.
