Sleep Problems

I am having real trouble getting my 11 week old baby to settle in her crib. She will fall asleep soundly on me or her daddy but as soon as we but her down in her crib she wakes up and cries! I've tried putting her down when she is drowsy but she just cries instead of drifting off! The only way she seems to fall asleep is on us! Any advise on how to get her settled in her crib?

We used to warm the sheet for a couple of minutes with a hot water bottle. It helps to make the transfer easier.

I've got her in a sleeping bag so this shouldn't be a problem as the sleeping bag is aready cozy

Have you tried a swaddle rather than a sleeping bag?

A dummy may help too.

She won't take a dummy, spits it straight back out, tried different shapes and everything.

We tried swaddling when she was a bit younger and she got frustrated that she couldn't move her arms.

My daughter used to do the same think when she was a baby. So we used to put all her favorite toys in crib during daytime and we used to play with her placing her in the crib. Eventually she got attached with her crib. She thought that crib is a fun place and started sleeping peacefully in her crib.

Personally I would keep persevering with the dummy because it will be worth it.

It took my youngest a long time until she 'got' that she needed to suck. But by persevering, keep gently holding it for her, she not only got it, it was the start of 11pm-7am sleep and decent daytime naps
