4mo cot nap refuser

Posting for some suggestions please

This is DC4 and is now approx 4 months. Sleeps through the night most nights except since the heat last week but will NOT nap in the cot during the day. It's probably coincided with being a bit more alert during the day, say around 8 weeks ago. But it's getting to the stage where I think it's probably affecting night time sleep. As soon as I put her down in the cot she really screams, sounds super annoyed! I calm her and try again, same result, leave the room, go back in after a minute and repeat. Nothing works. We have someone working for us on the floor above and I don't like to have her crying as it disturbs them.

I've discovered in the last few days that she will sleep very happily in the pram downstairs and we have in fact got two long naps and one short one before dinner consistently last week this way.

However, I'm not sure I'd like the pram as a sleep place for too long. I'd like her to have the option of the cot and be happy there. I have another DC who still needs a nap so I tend to be at home for that one which means the baby can sleep in her cot for at least one nap.

Do whatever works, surely, and just stick with the pram.

DS1 NEVER napped in a cot until he dropped naps entirely at 2.5yo. They were on me or in the car, or they didn't happen.

DS2 would nap in a cot until he was well over a year old - now he's brilliant. Before that, it was in a sling, on me, in a car or not at all.

My priority is a well-rested baby, wherever they can get it!

I don't do it but SIDS guidelines are that baby should be in a room with other people for every sleep until 6 months. So the pram around other people is the safer thing to do. My 3 1/2 month old is very similar but long so she is now in a push chair. There is a 4 month sleep regression so maybe it is that.

I thought about the four month sleep regression thing but this has been going on for almost 2 months now. I think she's teething as she's dribbling loads and chewing her fists all the time, don't know if that's also affecting her. She was going down in her cot drowsy but awake at night and self settling but now she will only go down solidly asleep, so I think she doesn't like the cot!
