7m old bumping head on cot

My DS 7 mths old wriggles in his sleep until he gets his head up to the top of the cot and then cries and wakes himself up because he is "stuck" (i.e. can't get any higher) and I have to "rescue" him (i.e. pull him back down to the middle of the cot) several times a night. Driving me crazy and sleep deprived! Any one else experienced this and any suggestions??

Sorry...can only say it is a phase and WILL pass. I had forgotten all about it (3yodd) until my ds (9mo)started doing it! Lasted about 2 weeks. Cot bumpers at both ends softened the blows...!

agree it's only a phase but must be maddening while it lasts!

would raising head end of cot on blocks / books / bricks make it harder for him to work his way up?

Thanks for advice. I will try propping up end of cot as suggested.
