Controlled babbling?

My five-month-old has taken to waking up in the evenings after I've put her down as usual at 7.30. She doesn't cry, though, she just lies there having a little chat with herself. Is it alright to leave her to it? Most times she goes back to sleep again after half an hour or so, but if she doesn't or gets upset I go in. I feel a bit mean just ignoring her, but if I take her up, she'll take ages to go back to sleep again. WWYD? Thanks.

Leave her to it. Babbling is happy.

Thank you! That was exactly the right answer. Grin
