Ferber method

Can someone remind me what age I can do the Ferber method from? Worked a treat for my eldest but he was about 1.5 when we did it. I've got a 7mo not sleeping without falling asleep on me....

Do you mean controlled crying or cry it out? There are other methods too. Have you tried anything so far?

Controlled crying. Returning every 4/5 then 6/7 mins etc

Tried pick up put down but she just falls asleep on me. I want to be able to pop her in the cot and settle herself

Start at 2 mins then build up to 5, I probably wouldn't go much longer than that at 7 months. When you go in soothe her in the cot so you're not doing pick up put down.
