I have just started weaning my 15 weeks old little girl, she quite loved it and i only gave 2 spoonfuls, i have noted the stool was orange in colour after the feed and had a streak of blood...what on earth shall i do? I gave her carrots/

Hello Shiks, I noticed my babes poo was totally orange the first time i gave him carrot - i could even see the carroty bits in it! Now i just mix more veg in in wth the carrot. Don't knoabout the blood streak though - I'm sure it will be ok though and somone on mnet will be able to reassure you. xxx

I would really advise holding off till around 6 months.

I think she's just too young to digest food yet so it's coming straight out the other end untouched.

I'd leave weaning till she's a bit older - if you hag on till 6 months she'll be able to sit up and pick up bits by herself, which makes it all very easy.

I weaned my DS1 at 16 weeks, years ago, and found he passed essentially slightly grubby food. Another reason why weaning this early isn't a good idea, imo.
