Weaning and Stool colour

Hi all, i have just started weaning my 15 weeks old girl. I gave her carrot and Potato hip....i notice her stool is orange in colour and has a streak of blood. Am abit concerned..what should i do.

stop weaning and go back to milk ,milk and more milk, IMO.......have you been advised to wean this early ? recommended age is 26 weeks....

orange poo would be ok,as the carrots are staining the poo, but not blood ...

at this age, which is a growth spurt time, lots and lots of milk is better than a but of puree, as milk is calorifically more filling and nutritious and all a 15 week old requires in terms of nourishment.

my mum suggested i wean her as she only nurses for 5 minutes max....26wks for weaning? God almighty..i thought 4 months was okay age to start?

it is 6 months. 4 months is waay too early. It is normal to cut down on feeding time, jsut keep going for a little while.

not any more !! milk, even little and often is ok.....i'd honestly stick to milk..and try solids again at 26 weeks or as close to it as possible...then you can have a look at this as a much easier way to wean
