SIBLINGS SHARING? MOVE TO TODDLER BED?

dd2 is 2.5. since new year's eve we've had a nightmare getting her to settle at bed time. we let her stay up a bit later on one night, and it's been hell ever since!

should we try her in her toddler bed and take her out of her cot, and maybe put her in with dd1- 4.9- to try and give her new enthusiam about bedtimes?

or is an unsettled time, not a good time for change??

anyone got any experiences of putting siblings together/ separating them at night?

tia

possibly against my better judgement, have decided to put the girls in together. what have i done...? they're up there now bouncing off the walls with the excitement of it all!

mine are in together for the first time tonight (2.1yrs and 7 months)

its gonna be hellish as they both have sleep issues and want to get in our bed,

good luck & wish me luck too

ds2 (11 months) moved in with ds1 (3) last week. Bedtime itself is a mare, but once they're asleep, its fine

OMG, what have we done?! dd2 kept getting out of bed, then in the end we put the travel cot up in her own room. we said that if she didnt stay in bed, she'd have to sleep in the travel cot. she then decided that she WANTED to be in the travel cot. aaagh.....she's yelling for us now, i can hear her ...

maybe the change of bed AND room was too much at once. will keep the cot bed as a 'bed' for now. maybe she'll want to stay in with her sis tomorow.

hope things work out better for you, kitty

i just think that maybe i was expecting too much- that my strong willed 2.5 yo might stay in bed!
