9 month old screaming at bed time

My baby is 9 and a half months old and over the last 2 months have got into a lovely routine of sleep. She could self settle. Lay her down at bedtime and walk out and she would fall asleep. The last two nights she has screamed for at least 30 minutes as soon as she is put down. I have checked for signs of teeth, ear infection etc. and it isn't that, I just don't know what to do. She gets beside herself and fights you when you try to comfort her, but works herself up more if you don't comfort her. It's making me really anxious and I'm dreading bed time.

What is your little one like if you leave her during the day? Around that age it's common for babies to develop separation anxiety. Both of my two have been there! My 10 month old DS2 screams himself into a state in the few minutes it takes me to brush his big brothers teeth while he lays in his cot waiting for me to come back in! It's was so bad a few weeks ago that he wouldn't even let his Dad give him his bedtime bottle! No advice I'm sorry, just letting you know you aren't alone! I think we just have to ride this out! X

She's up and down in the day when I leave her. Sometimes (probably when distracted) she is fine. Other times I can't go out of sight for a second, but she has always been like that!

My 10 month old DD has become like this over the past few weeks. Gone from settling herself, no night wakings etc to being very hard to settle and frequent wakings throughout the evening.

She is definitely displaying separation anxiety and is also teething. It's such hard work!

I'm surviving by inwardly chanting the mantra "it's only a phase. It's only a phase".
