Room temp and SIDS

Just curious to know...

Our baby monitor warns us when the room is too hot or too cold. Anything below 17 and above 22.

When we go to Spain in the summer the night temp will be around 24. We won't have air con.

So I'm wondering Spanish babies (and babies in all warm climates) at a higher risk of SIDS? Are the rates of SIDS higher in hot countries??

No, you just need to make sure you don't overdress your baby. The SIDS risk is due to overheating when the baby is wrapped up too warmly.

Does your baby use a dummy? If so, I would advise against removing it before your holiday as they are known for lowering the risk of SIDS.
