So how do I do this?

My DD is going to be 1 this week. She has never gone to sleep without being fed and had never spent a night not being cuddled or held in our bed (usually with a boob in her mouth the whole night!)

I think it's time she started sleeping without the boob and in her cot although I'd settle for either right now!

Despite her being the youngest of 4 I have no clue how to proceed with this.

I feel a bit awful to suddenly take everything from her (milk and our bed) and just put her in the cot and be done with it but I'm not sure how to even begin to sleep train her.
I'm not going to use CC it's not for us plus we have 3 other children asleep In the house.

At the moment, she feeds to sleep on me and remains there until we all go up to bed where she is cuddled up to me in mine and DP's bed. She is latched on for the whole night and if she comes off the breast she cries until it comes back.

I know I've made a rod for my own back well and truly but any help would be appreciated.

I used Jay Gordon's method for co-sleeping, breastfeeding DS - it stopped the night feeding in a very gentle way. He's still co-sleeping (he's 5), but we've not really tried to stop that.

Also, he was 2 years old when we used the method, but it did work brilliantly, with no real tears. He seemed to understand what was going on.

That seems like the sort of thing I'm after.
I was already planning on taking the side off her cot and putting it next to our bed, we have a small double and it's a squeeze with all 3 of us in there!

When we did it I didn't choose 7 hours as he advises - I just decided no more feeding in bed at all, as my son seemed to understand that better. So I would feed him to sleep downstairs, and let him fall asleep downstairs, then carry him up to bed with me. In the morning, we would always go downstairs before feeding him again, and he understood that bed is not for feeding.

He actually went quite a bit longer than seven hours without feeding, done this way.
