Just when everything was going so well....

LO was going to sleep in her cot awake, would sleep for naps (sometimes 45mins sometimes longer - even got 2 hours a couple of times). OK we cheated and used a rainstorm download but it worked and saved us saying "Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.........." for ages.
Not any more. We've just gotten over Xmas (kept her schedule even though we were visiting relatives in a different time zone), she has a cold - gotten over the worst now, and is approaching the 3 months mark.
Aaaaargh! Her sleep routine hasn't changed, she just seems to be having none of it now. What's gone wrong? Is it because she's getting older/ or getting over the cold? She's so wired she doesn't want to be put down to sleep - finds the wall hilarious though and giggles and talks to it instead!
Any advice? Is this normal when they reach certain ages?

i remember my DS had a mad phase at 3 months ... they have a mega growth spurt too ... sounds as tho' she isn't tired when you are putting her down if she is giggling etc ... perhaps leave her there if she is happy and she will drift off or take her out of the cot until she is tired and then put her down ...
SHe will settle down especially after all the excitement over Xmas and then being ill
