7mo 5/6am feed

My DS is doing really well with his sleep compared to just a few weeks ago. He has a feed at 6.30pm and goes to bed- he cannot physically manage any later and nap times don't effect this tiredness. At his best he then sleeps until 5.30/5.45 when I feed him (bottle) and then he goes back to sleep most days until 7.30/8. Sometimes I get him up earlier if I need.
My question is really will he drop this early morning feed himself or should I discourage it? If I don't feed him he would start the day and it's a bit earlier than I'd like- he goes back to sleep too which suggests he's still tired.
My dmil said I shouldn't feed him at this time as he should wait until 6.30 or 7 when he begins his day but it's a bit difficult to convince him of this...
He eats loads of solids during the day , 3 large meals, and 20oz of milk over. 3 bottles.

My dd did exactly the same - 5ish am feed then back to sleep until 7.30/8. I saw no reason to not feed her at 5ish - she was clearly hungry and went straight back to sleep during the feed. She dropped it of her own accord around 9months (ie started sleeping straight through til 7ish).
