I wonder if anyone could give me the benefit of their advice. Tom is 9 months and due to teething/being stuck like glue to mummy this usually brilliant sleeper's routine went haywire over the last 5-6 weeks. We seem (fingers crossed) to be back on track in his own cot at home for most daytime naps and night sleep. But...he stays with his Granny and Grandad two days a week and I go over there a couple of afternoons a week. He will not nap in their cot at all and has not done for about two months now. It doesn't matter whether I am there or not, so it seems to be more related to the room/cot. I have tried CC/PUPD, staying with him, familar toys, cot as fun place. It would be nice for Mum and Dad to get even a wee breather when Tom stays and nice for Tom not to end up cranky through lack of sleep. Mum and Dad have taken to driving around aimlessly as he will sleep in car/pram. Any tips?

put him in the pram. place a flat slipper or the like on the floor. push the chair back and forth while doing something else. keep an eye on him and shoggle again when he comes into a light sleep.

i wouldn't fight him on this. if i were you as its only a couple days a wk.
