Hi there, can I ask how old your little one is?

FATEdestiny · 27/01/2016 10:25

My initial response would be to recommend a feed. How old is your baby?

bunny85 · 27/01/2016 17:57

Watching with interest as my DS is 11 weeks old and does exactly the same

FATEdestiny · 27/01/2016 20:42

Have you tried a feed as soon as he wakes bunny?

dementedpixie · 27/01/2016 20:45

What age?

bunny85 · 28/01/2016 13:20

FATE, I do just that! Even before he wakes fully (he still has eyes closed just starts shuffling around) I feed him and he settles for a while. Also sometimes I turn him on the side and it seems to help as well. Then after some time he starts again!

FATEdestiny · 28/01/2016 13:45

What about a dummy? That could help him settle. I firm hand on the chest is good aswel (or swaddle if you swaddled when younger).

Around 3 months old is when sleep matures and develops from being passive to something that you have to help baby actively work to achieve. So the "fun" is about to begin.

If you have space to set up a bedside cot, it can help with settling in the night. By this I mean remove one side off your full sized cot and butt it up to your bed. The extra space in a cot as opposed to a bedside crib is more helpful for soothing to sleep long term, I find.

Thanks FATE, we have chicco next2me but no luck using it so far so we co sleep. Yes dummy is another thing that works. Actually it's getting better by day (or rather by night), touch wood!

Thanks FATE, hope it continues in the same direction!
