Hello. We are expecting a second child in Aug and thinking about using a night nanny for six weeks.
Has anyone tried/had one? And how did it work out? Did it feel weird? x

I've not had one but would have liked to have someone to bring DS over to be fed, and more importantly put him back in bed afterwards as at that point I was nearly asleep myself. But if i had the money I think a cleaner or housekeeper to give me a bit of support to keep the house running would have been better value, or better still DH taking more unpaid leave.

If you are inclined to hire someone, I would see more value in someone being there to teach you the best ways to settle baby and establish good sleep habits. That strikes me as a much more useful use of 6 weeks nighttime help.
