My ds has always been an early riser but since moving to a new room and bed it is now 5am. We have a gro clock, bedtime around 7ish - making it later doesnt make a difference. Any suggestions

Has the temperature changed in the new room? Perhaps try an extra blanket? Or is he toilet trained? My DS went through a phase of early wake ups after we night trained him as I think he was waking when he needed a wee. Will your DS go back to sleep in your bed or is he up for the day at 5am?

He is up at 5 and wants to go downstairs. He has a gate on his door and doesnt settle if in with us. Still in nappies. Temp is ok in his room.

It might still be doing a wee that's waking him, even in nappies. Or you might just have yourself an early riser I am afraid. He probably will grow out of it to some degree in time.

What about daytime nap? This could be an indication he's ready for dropping the nap.
