Daytime napping

Hi all, hope someone can help!

My LO was born 9 weeks premature with quite a few issues, she required surgery and we spent 13 weeks in NICU/SCBU. Got discharged end of Sept.

She has always sleep well at night but during the day she will only sleep on me or DH, if we lay her down in her cot or on beanbag she wakes up and won't settle even though she's absolutely knackered!

Have tried leaving her in the cot but she just screams and screams!

If anyone has any pearls of wisdom I'd much appreciate it

I have the same situation as you its either me or the bouncy chair. My DD is 6 months now & i want to start napping in her cot.

It's awful Holly! My LO is is just over 6 Months old (4m corrected), I can't even get her to nap in her chair or on her beanbag. Funny thing is when I went to visit my mum in Nov my friend lent me her beanbag and my LO would sleep in it during the day no problem so I bought one and she won't sleep in it! Arrrgghh!!

Oh no! Always the way. My DD is waking every 1.5-2 hourly for the past 3 weeks throughout the night & she wont settle for ages its really doing me in. I dont know what to do. I wish i knew what was causing it. Hope your LO starts napping for you soon.

Try getting her to nap on a pillow on your lap. So you can rock the pillow. Once she is asleep you can carefully slide the pillow off your lap onto the sofa or floor.

It's not a complete self settle way, and you need to keep an eye as on a pillow obviously, but at least you can move around a bit easier as hands free so can get some stuff done easier

You will be surprised how they Change in a little time, so in a months time they might be OK to settle alone
