He has football 3 nights a week so into bed between 8-845 then usually straight asleep. Other nights he goes up about 7 and usually reads until 8. He's up about 6am ...

ThornyBird · 02/01/2016 23:43

8 with lights out at 8.30

Piffpaffpoff · 02/01/2016 23:44

Normal nights he goes up at 8, lights out at 8.30. Awake about 6.30. Thurs and Friday, lights out is nearer 9 due to Cubs/football.

iwantgin · 02/01/2016 23:47

DS still had a 7pm bedtime until aged 10. The exceptions were on Beavers/Cubs nights.

Bit of reading in bed allowed but not too late. Had to get up at 6.30 am so was necessary.

Always loved his sleep :)

elliejjtiny · 02/01/2016 23:49

8pm

YouMakeMyDreams · 02/01/2016 23:53

Ds is 9 and can still barely get beyond half 7. He's exhausted on Cubs night when he doesn't get in until half 8. I have never given him an enforced bedtime because he just goes when he's tired. Almost always asleep by 8.

LaurieFairyCake · 02/01/2016 23:57

8, lights out at 8.30 after story.

enderwoman · 02/01/2016 23:57

8:30pm pjs and teeth. 9pm lights out. Asleep by 9:15pm

grumpysquash2 · 03/01/2016 00:02

My 9yo goes to bed about 10:30pm. Up at about quarter to 8 on a school day, except Wednesdays when we leave for his music lesson at 7:45am, so up by 7:15. Never seems tired. Or grumpy.

[has teen siblings, which is why we're in such a bad habit, but tbh, even as a toddler he didn't do early bedtimes].

muminthecity · 03/01/2016 00:06

Bed at 9, lights out at 9.15. Very rarely asleep before 10pm. Up for school at 7am. School holidays are a different story, the past week or so she's been up until midnight or even later and sleeping in until 10.30/11am. It's been lovely! Oh and she's 10, not 9 but only just!

grumpysquash2 · 03/01/2016 00:10

I'm impressed at the pp whose DC has 7pm bedtime. We haven't even had dinner by then :(

RueDeWakening · 03/01/2016 00:14

DD is 8.5, goes up around 7pm, lights out at 8pm on school nights, 8.30pm Fri & Sat, completely slack in the holidays.

Mummytron · 03/01/2016 22:36

Thanks all
My son is nearly 10 and one of the late sleepers. Glad to see a good mix as I was starting to worry!
