Is baby too big for crib

Hi all,

Iv a 5 month old baby and lately we have been struggling with getting him to sleep. Last night we were away and he slept in travel cot and slept loads! Tonight he cried and whinged for an hour so I took out travel cot again and he instantly fell asleep.

Is this just a fluke or could be be too big for his crib?

Could be too big for it. I had to move my DD from her Moses into the big cot at about 12 weeks ish as she wanted more space - she likes to sleep with her arms stretched out sideways.

I do have a proper cot but no mattress bought yet, I'll buy tomorrow and give it a go. Will try anything!
