Possibly teething ? Or growth spurt

Monkfish84 · 19/12/2015 20:12

Does he have rosy cheeks and drooling quite a bit ? Does his gums look red or sore or feel rough/jagged ? If so maybe some calpol and/or teething granules. Growth spurt could be making him hungrier and if not getting all he wants in the day he could be waking at night for it instead.

Monkfish84 · 19/12/2015 20:25

Yh i agree with all of the above an everytime we make head way he has jabs, cold, teething or chicken pox! So he never gets chance to find his feet

Are you giving him hungrier baby powder and normal ? Or just a complete switch to normal for all his feeds ?

Jemzy12345 · 19/12/2015 20:30

Bless him. Calpol and teething granules will help with teething and a teething ring in fridge so it's cool. . How many ounces does he have milk wise ?

Monkfish84 · 19/12/2015 20:40

He needed hungrier baby for medical reasons...he has 7 ounces

You could increase his intake to 8 ounces a feed to see if that helps. If he doesn't drink it, he doesn't drink it but you have the extra ounce that at some feeds he might want that little bit more

Yes please let me know how you get on. Good luck

tiredybear · 19/12/2015 21:44

You mentioned that he has had jabs/cold/teething/chicken pox.... so maybe you are already doing the right things, but the illnesses and teething stopped them working.
It's REALLY frustrating, as you just start seeing a possible light at the end of the tunnel then they get another horrible cold...or more teeth start coming through. My son has never slept through, currently only goes 2-4 hours at a time and he's nearly 9 months. It's just been one thing after another, bless him.
Keep up the good work of supporting each other and I hope things improve really soon.
