when should i move dd into a bed and

what kind should i get. she has sarted to try and climb out her cot. she is 20 months at the moment and i really dont want to buy a toddler bed then a normal bed aswell. any advice grately appreciated

both mine went into proper single beds when around 20 mths (dd1 was actually 18 mths)

proper duvet and pillow too

no problems

we used a bedguard tho, and im glad we did

i just bought a plain pine bed and mattress from Argos, i think they were £99 each

Ikea do a good iron (looking) day bed. It has bars on 3 sides and is a full size single bed (I believe)... but you can always turn it around to face the wall if you want - to stop her falling out.... and it would be a kind of cot as the 3 sides would be on the outside and the wall would be the 4th side (am I making any sense?!! )
This is what we are thinking of getting.

Ikea also do several extendable beds - they start off cot bed size and then have two ends that eventually fold down to make it a single bed size.
