9 month sleep regression??

Help!! My 9month old daughter has gone from being a really good sleeper 11-12hrs most nights. Since getting her first teeth about a month ago she has been waking every 3-4hrs and wanting milk which she drains each time! I give her three meals & snacks in the day & she still has milk throughout the day. I'm worried that she is getting into a habit of waking & then we feed her. I have tried not giving her milk, but she will cry & cry until I give in as soon as she has her milk she settles back to sleep. Is there an end to this, do I just have to ride it out?

I'd just ride it out if it was me. Assuming she settles to sleep well on her own normally, naps well, is eating and drinking enough and has enough daytime milk, then I can think of no specific 'problem'.

Could you dilute the milk, change to water, or always try to settle first before feeding.

I'm having a similar problem with my 8.5 month old DD too so I can totally empathise! I BF her to sleep and she now wakes up throughout the night (every 45 mins to 2 hours) crying and will only settle if I BF her to sleep. Problem is, when I put her back into her cot she gets upset again and starts screaming. Does anyone know if this is linked to separation anxiety and how to overcome it/how long it lasts? Any advice welcome!

Thanks for the reassurance FATEdestiny I think I will have to ride it out! My daughter has just started standing unaided so I think she is going through a development milestone.

Seal15 I was doing the same feeding to sleep until I stopped breastfeeding at 6mths. We did the cry it out method which was soooo hard, but it worked she would sleep through the night for at least 11hrs until we hit this 9mth regression!!

Thanks HelenMTrask31. I'm not sure if we're ready for cry it out but give it a few more nights and you never know! It's a tough time atm. I hope you get some sleep tonight!
