Sleepyhead grand - lowest cot setting?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone with a sleepyhead grand could help me with a quick question.....

I have just bought one for my 16 week old as he has outgrown Moses basket but is finding the cot too roomy. The instructions say that it should be used on the lowest cot setting - any idea why this is? Is there a SIDS risk with using it on a higher level, or is it just because it's aimed at babies 8 months plus who can pull themselves up? As he's only 16 weeks and can't pull himself up, I'm going to hurt my back if I have to lean down to lowest level to pick him up.

Thanks!

I would contact the manufacturer to check.I think you are probably right about it being aimed at older babies who can pull themselves up, but it doesn't hurt to check.
