Bedside light

Sounds daft I know, but I'm seeking advice about what type of bedside light you'd buy for a 3 year old. I want something that he can operate but I'm worried about the bulb getting hot if he leaves it on. Any suggestions?

Without a specific recommendation but use an LED bulb. The reason they're so efficient is because the energy isn't wasted as heat. All IKEA bulbs are now LED so maybe look there?

Not on the high street does a night light where the shade has the child's name cut out - they might like that?

Thank you both for the suggestions! LED - very good point. And will look at the name one too, that sounds lovely. Thanks!
