6mo waking 'crawling' in sleep

6mo DD is waking 1/2 times in a night but I suspect it's not because she's hungry. When I wake she is generally pretty much on all fours in her sleeping bag in the 'nearly crawling' pose. She's also started to raise her back off the ground when shuffling on the floor so I think crawling is imminent.

For those of you who've been through this - did the wakings stop once they could crawl? I'm wondering if this is a developmental phase and once her wee brain isn't thinking about crawling 24/7 she might stop waking? I totally get she might wake due to other things but until she started moving she was pretty much sleeping through. Fingers crossed it goes back. Smile

Watching with interest as my nearly 7 month old is doing this ! Weirdly she can crawl backwards but not forwards !

I think its really common that babies do this when learning to crawl (similar thing will happen when able to pull up to standing position).

Whilst it is a developmental phase, we had to kind of 'teach' baby that she needed to be still in order to sleep. We went through a phase of needing to hold DDs hands to keep her still. Or place a firm hand on her chest/back when going to sleep. It was a way to reaffirm that in order to sleep DD needed to be lying down and still.
