My DS is 10 weeks old today and he's such a sleepy thing! He still sleeps most of the day, staying awake for a short time after feeds. He also heads to bed between 6.30-7pm (I've tried to keep him up, really I have) And then wakes usually twice in the night, although has woken once a couple of times.

Today for example he had fed at 4.45 am, then woke for the day at 7.15. He slept from 8.30-9.15 in the car, asleep again at 10.15 until I woke him to feed at 11.45. Asleep from 12.15 until 2.45, asleep from 3.30 and is still asleep now.

Is this normal? Should he be more alert by now? He does look around and smile when he's awake although he's a bit more serious than DD was but he seems to have a very short awake time.

My dc2 was much tired than dc1 and sounds like yours is similar I just assumed its because their awake time is so busy with a toddler to watch and you running around etc.
How many hrs a day are they getting?

Assume they are are gaining weight ok and tracking their growth line?

Yes he's a big boy no weight issues! I think in a 24 hour period probably between 17-20 hours depending on how often my toddler wakes him up...

16-20 hours sleep in 24 is perfectly normal for a baby in the first 12 weeks. I usually work on the basis that if not feeding, then baby should be sleeping or trying to get to sleep pretty much all of the time in the first 3 months of life.
