Good afternoon all,

I know there's alot of mums in my situation but please please please i need some advise.
My little boy is 10 months (first child) and generally a happy baby. From since 7 months been on 2 naps a day (2-3hrs) . He wakes up at btwn 7.30-8.30 nurses in bed. Has breakie at 10 then first nap at 11 without any struggle ( i put him down wide awake with a kiss and off he goes and same for 4pm nap) he eats 3 good meals a day plus water on each and yogurts (he eats so well). We have a well established bed routine 7.50 and goes down wide awake at 8.30 which after he wakes 2-3 hours sometimes every hour ( sometimes doesn't want to feed but its easier to feed him as sleep right back in less than 5mins but as the night goes on he wakes up and starts to mumble and attempt to stand up or crawl somewhere and at times takes forever to go back to sleep! We co-sleep the last half of the night as i too exhausted by then and he will nurse as he pleases till morning!
Now its been 5 days since he weaned himself off day feeding ( only feeds in the morning whilst still in bed and bedtime throughout the night and he doesnt seem to be interested in pulling my top to bfeed like he used to which is fine as i am in process of weaning him off by 1yr ( we replaced for now yurgort at 4 before naptime so he's never hungry. He refused bottle now formular and we are working on that atm pumping and sippy cups... and he refused a dummy too. 2 days ago naptimea have become a nightmare he fights them and yesterday missed his afternoon nap. Today put him at 11am nope screamed and we tried again at 1 which he cried for 5mins then went to sleep till 2.30. Last night he went to bed at 8.00, 30 earlier due to missing his afternoon nap and i thought he will sleep better but he woke up twice before 12am and didn't want to be put down back into his cot but slept when held and my DH are not about to do that now anyways after he eventually took the boob for 3mins he agreed to be put down and he slept till 1.30am and woke up every hour after then! Its 4pm now and he's no sign of napping again!
I am soooo sleep deprived with headaches and aching back and am sooo tired, i know it will pass but any advise is very welcome oh and am due to go back to work mid next month!
Thank you

I really feel for you, sorry things are so tough. I wonder if reducing milk so much in the daytime might be part of the problem? As I understand it breastmilk or formula should still be a significant part of their diet - in addition to solids - until 1 year. So it may be that your DS 'knows' this and is making up.for it at night?

I've recently night weaned 10 month DD but she's still having 4 milk feeds during the day plus three full meals and snacks. Night weaning (which I did very gently and slowly) has made a big difference to her sleep.

Thank you Maymow,

My DH thought it might be too but unsure. Its been a week now since weaning him off day feeding ( still no interest in boob like he did before) also when he used to feed during day it was only complimentary like 3 mins before naps ( only at morning and afternoon nap) and he napped well the first 3 days into weaning. He does now nap at 1.30 after his lunch without struggle for 1-2hours for now. I really really do want to go back to day feeding as we have been doing well and am due to go back to work soon.

Last night wasn't too bad. Woke up less. And i noticed last again night he did not stand up in his cot crying, he stayed down. And to my surprise this morning i have put him down to his morning nap and he slept off with no fuss at all like old times. I am wondering if it was due to a new skill and now he's mastered the art of standing and bringing himself down/cruising and not interested anymore.
