Disastrous attempt to transition from Cocoonababy to just mattress - advice?

DD2 has been sleeping really well in it, also swaddled, but stupidly I took a notion yesterday that maybe she should be sleeping in just the cot as she is getting bigger - so Angry with myself! I took the sheet off the Cocoonababy and laid that with her teddy on the cot mattress, thinking I was so clever Hmm.

Last night was a complete mess, she slept reasonably well till first wakeup at 1 (earlier than normal) then mooched and just would not sleep from 5ish. Got her up about 7, fed her, tried to put her down again when she seemed sleepy. Cue screaming and refusing to lie in the cot.

Replaced Cocoonababy, she passed out instantly and is still asleep an hour later. I'm a complete mess today. Obviously she is in the bloody thing now for as long as possible, but any tips on when she actually is too big to fit on it? Are there similar devices for larger babies (she is a chunky 4 month old)? Or any tips ideally getting her to sleep on just the cot mattress?

We have a sleepyhead and there is a sleepyhead Grande too which I'm thinking is similar to the sort of thing you are referring too.

It is eye wateringly expensive for what is it. However,ds has mostly slept so well in his sleepyhead that I suspect we will be forking out for the larger one soon....

Wow, that is pricey. I've just bought a new cot mattress for her too (sob!).

She's back in it for the moment, maybe if I wait until she's actually uncomfortable in the cocoonababy she'll appreciate the cot mattress more... Hmm

DS was in a cocoonababy from birth to 12 weeks. He then went into a cot which was an adjustment shall we say! I think the problem is that the cocoon holds their arms and legs in a certain way. Get a bath towel and roll up long ways. Make a u shape with the bottom of the U under baby knees. Like a nest. Put sheet on top so it doesn't become unravelled. Over time use a smaller towel so nest is less defined. Worked for us.
