can you describe what happens?

does he have a bedtime routine?

does he nap well in the day?

how do you get him back to sleep when he wakes?

Hi thanks for the quick reply, he has a good bedtime routine and initially goes to bed at 7.30pm ish he goes down very good, for some reason if my hubby puts him to bed he wakes again at around 9.30ish but if I put him down he wakes at around 11.30ish - midnight, he cries and we have tried to leave him for a while but he ust gets louder and then screams, one of us goes in to him and we pick him up give him a cuddle and a drink and settle him back down, then he can be up anything between every 15 minutes to an hour for the rest of the night and we do the same everytime, we have tried not to lift him or leave him a little longer but sometimes he ends up giving hiself wind and being sick.

ok. you can either carry on as you are and see if he sorts himself out into a better sleep pattern. or you can leave him to cry it out and self settle, or you can do 'the no cry sleep solution' or another similar 'solution'. if you're leaving him to cry for a bit then going in when he screams it's rather like he's learned he needs to scream to get you. i would say either do not go to him full stop, assuming you know he is well, not hungry etc, OR do the ncss and do it properly.
