My daughter is alost 12 months and for atleast the last 5 months whenever we put her down to sleep she will go off but then after 20ish minutes will wake up and cry then making herself sick...not just a little bit but the whole shabang!

It doesnt matter what we do it just getting worse, tonight we put her down at 6 and only now shes gone off but shes had to have a bath and 2 showers inbetween because of all the vomitting.

She does have a bottle for comfort to go off with which we have tried taking away and it has no affect after a few weeks its just as bad but just prolonged well into the early hours.

Thing is she wont eat anything apart from scambled eggs and fruit/yogurt so whatever we can get in her is precious!!! its so bloody frustrating to see it all come back up again - constantly feel like crying :(

Health vistor saw her and couldnt really offer up any advice, has anyone here had similiar problems or does anyone know of this kind of behaviour??

Thanks x

The poor little thing. That must be tough, and it sounds to me like something isn't quite right with her. Could it be reflux or something, possibly? Don't know. Anyway, I think you need to bypass the HV and take her to see your GP. They might refer you to a paediatrician to check whether there's some sort of physical cause.

It is not all that unusual for a baby who screams for long enough will reach the point where they vomit.

This is not necessarily a medical issue causing the vomiting, it is the crying. But worth getting a medical opinion from your GP anyway just to be sure.

What do you do to comfort and help your daughter to get back to sleep when she wakes?

If she is crying to the point where she is often sick (multiple times) then perhaps rethink the way you help her get to sleep.
