When do you introduce pillows and duvet?

My DS 14months sleeps happily in his baby sleeping bag and no other bedding other than a sheet on the matress in his cot. When do you start introducing a pillow and duvet instead of sleeping bag?

I think my daughter was about 18 months. Can't remember my son!

We've just started using a duvet in my ds' cot (he'll be 16 months in a a few days) because he kept trying to walk around in his gro bag, then falling over and banging his head. We haven't bothered with a pillow because he sleeps fine without one.

If your dc sleeps ok in a sleeping bag then I would stick with it for as long as possible.

Thanks a lot for the replies. We'll keep going with the sleeping bag for a bit longer and see what happens.
