what should a child wear under a fleece sleepsuit?

Our son has been waking at night and we think he is too cold. I'm thinking of getting him a fleece sleepsuit but just wondering (like an idiot ) if they just have a nappy on or pj's as well...

Are they usually lined?

He's 2.8 years by the way. I thought sleepsuits were a thing of the past for us...

I reckon that a vest thing underneath would be best. CAn you still get long sleeved ones in toddler sizes? Ds is wearing a long sleeved vest under his - he's only 7 months though

I just put a nappy (before potty trained) underneath. Fleece sleepsuits are very thick and i always thought anything else under would make the LO get too hot and sweat.

If he stays under the covers just a vest.

My 22 mth old won't stay under the duvet so he wears vest and pjs under his.

Cheers for those answers. I have gone with a sleeveless vest as he sometimes kicks off his covers but he does get hot easily in fleece!

Thanks again...
