My little boy is 3 months old. At the moment he is co sleeping in my bed, as he wont settle in his moses basket. I have no room for his cot in my bedroom, iv got a camera monitor in his room, iv heard alot of peoples babies have settled better inthier own rooms in the cot. Has anyone got any tips, or things they find that helped them?
Thanks

Personally I would take a chest of drawers out of my bedroom temporarily in order to fit the cot in the bedroom.

Remove one side of the cot and butt it up to your bed to make a co-sleeper cot, makes settling much easier.

The thought of getting up and going to a different room in the night was just too much to bear for me. I am v lazy though... We crammed a cot in until about 8m, and I'm glad we did.

I also think having a cot in your room is a good idea. The SIDS guidelines is based in the baby having your breathing nearby to help regulate their own too.

As I'm sure you know, current guidelines suggest it is safest to have baby in your room for at least 6 months. I didn't make it that far as no room in our bedroom for a cot. However, I found a poddle pod helped my 2nd to sleep better in the cot when the time came. Nothing seemed to help my first!

I know you should wait until 6months but my baby enjoys being in his cot in the days if im busy upstairs cleaning. I bought a cosy dream to put in his cot. Last night he slept in his cot until 3am and woke for a bottle and came back into my bed as he wouldn't go back to sleep in his cot
