Just wondered if anyone else was not getting any sleep with their newborns?

The sleepless nights are catching up on me, have been up trying to settle ds from 9pm to 5am a few times this week. Has anyone got any tips for me?

i would say pretty much everyone!!!!

how old is LO? is it growth spurt time perhaps?

and you need to rest when the baby sleeps in the day and ask people to rally round to do the practical house stuff so you can look after yourself and LO!

b.w 9 and 5 is he awake and crying, hungry , windy?

mower - newborn and lack of sleep is totally normal!! They have tonnes of growth spurts (3, 6, 12 weeks and more) so feed more often. LOs need to feed little and often but some babies can manage a 5 - 6 hour stretch by a few weeks old. When you say you are trying to settle LO is he not asleep for that time - reflux, colic etc can all affect sleep ...try swaddling to calm and keep night dark and quiet. Can post more if you let us have more details.
