Sleep training

My 10 month old is a terrible sleeper and we usually usually spend at least half of the night co-sleeping. He feeds to sleep and is used to falling asleep sucking so therefore wants multiple feeds during the night. My DH has next week off work and we have agreed to use the time to make an effort at improving his sleep. I am not against using CC but wondered whether anyone has any tips or suggestions generally? I'm going back to work in September and I would love to get a bit more sleep for the last few months of maternity leave!

You are likely to need to night wean at the same time as tackling this. Search for a thread called 'what worked for us' for some great advise.

I used that thread for DS1 at 14mo, worked really well. Planning to do something similar with DS2 who's currently 8mo in a couple months. He's a very different beast though so who knows if it'll work....
