Longer naps help!

DS is a child who seems to need a lot of sleep (possibly because he's not doing any of it at night ).

He NEEDS at least an hour nap in the morning, but the last week or so has been waking after just 30 mins, whingy, still tired.

How do I help him sleep longer? At the moment I am doing CC but since he learnt to stand that doesn't tend to work.

He's 8 months.....

What I did with my DS when he learnt to stand was to go to him and lay him down (without talking to him) then leave the room. I kept doing this until he got the idea to sleep. It takes a while the first few times.

Does he sleep when you go out and about? At that age ds had his morning nap in the pushchair and usually just his afternoon nap in the cot after lunch

I think I need to try the laying down lots method (I was swaddling him to stop him getting up, but he worked out how to slug himself up ).

No LJ - I take him out in the pushchair and he perks up and needs to talk to flowers
