I'm not sure what I should be doing.

DD is 22 months. She's never slept particularly well but she'd been improving the last few months and we actually had a few nights where she slept through in her cot.

Getting her to sleep though is the problem. It used to take about 30 mins of sitting beside the cot constant shhing but now it's up to two hours. She stands, tries to get you to play, screams if DH leaves (he does bedtime but she's the same for me)

This week - in slight desperation - I've dropped her nap. She used to go down at 12 for an hour. It's been ok but she seems really young and I'm wondering if I'm doing the right thing.

Any advice?

Ds is now 2.8 and dropping the nap was the best thing we did for bedtime. I remember the pain. It took a bit if experimenting as with no nap every day at first he would get so tired by day 3 he would be awful and wake for hours at night. So we slowly went from a nap every other day, every third day, once a week to never now.
Bedtime rakes 20 minutes and he sleeps through the majority of the week.

That's good to hear andcake. She got really tired today and fell asleep in the car for 10 minutes. I felt so bad taking her out, she kept snuggling into me trying to go back to sleep.

I might let her nap tomorrow.
