DS2 is almost 7mo and we co sleep for most of the night. From about 6wks we started putting him to bed in his cot and we'd bring him in after his first or second wake up. He used to do a longish stretch at the start of the night til around 11pm/12am but hasn't done that in months. He now wakes 1/2 times every eve and sometimes more. I pick him up and by the time I get to sit down to feed/rock him, he's already fallen asleep. I think he just wants to be close to me.

If you cosleep, does your DC sleep happily in their cot until you come to bed?

Sometimes, sometimes not... all depends on teeth, snot levels, wind direction, black magic and fairy dust levels. I have no idea what makes her sleep from 7pm - midnight some nights, and 7pm - 7.20, 7.40, 8.20, 9.10.. etc etc on other nights.

Yes, but only recently. DD is 14 months and she's only gone down consistently on her own for the first stretch for a month or so

Ours used to fall asleep with us in living room ( just on sheepskin rug). When we went to bed we took them with us.
This was from newborn- 18 ish months. Then we just let them fall asleep in middle of bed and left them there for evening then we joined.
