3mo night terrors?

Hello,
DS is 3mo, regularly wakes up out of the blue crying. It's immunisation level crying. Very disturbing. I get to him within seconds and he generally calms down within 1-2 minutes.
Could it be night terrors? So young?
I might be projecting, I've been a sleep walker all my life and still have crazy nightmares but my mom says I didn't start until 18 months.
What do you think?

There has long since been debate as to whether babies can and do dream, or not. Many researches believe they can and do, many believe they don't and can't.

The fact is, there is no proof either way.

Babies wake and cry for any number of reasons. A common reason for high pitched sudden screams when sleeping could be silent reflux. But there are dozens of other possibilities.

You will probably never know. Just reassure your baby (sometimes just a slight patting is needed) as needed.

Thanks fate Ididn't know about the debate, I guess I need to do more reading! But the reflux is definitely something to look into, DS has been vomiting a lot...

Mine used to do this at 3 months - it wore off around 4 months. It was ear piercing stuff - almost hurt your heart if you see what I mean. Ouchy. Anyway, she doesn't do it now.
