Dear Mum's,

Please help.

I had your textbook newborn. She fed every 3-4 hours... Self-soothed in her moses basket... And was happy to be put down in the day. Then, at 6 weeks so caught my son's cold and has had a series of coughs, colds and general snuffles ever since. She now just screams when she is put down on her back in her crib and has ended up co-sleeping with us and grazing off me all night :(

My best friend is getting married this year and it is her hen do in 6 weeks and I am away for a night. We have desperately been trying to get her to take a bottle ready for this and she won't.

This ccombined with the night grazing and hatred of her crib is making me panic!!! Any advice? I have 5 weeks to crack this!!!

This sounds exactly like my DD. She would only sleep if next to me feeding and wouldn't take a bottle at all. We moved recently and as she turned 7 months we put her in to her own room with DH putting her to bed and she now sleeps through.
She takes a bottle now too which coincides with her starting solids I think now she doesn't mind different textures. I know this might not help for right now and your night away but what I'm getting at is that it won't last forever, all babies get to the stage where they will sleep through.
Have you tried with your DP putting her to bed instead of you? I found DD was getting cross with me as she wanted feeding but with DH she knows she won't be able to feed. Also maybe try a sippy cup for the milk instead of a bottle?
